Always a little higher

Are you looking for adventure? Set off into unknown terrain and draw your very own trail map. With places that actually seem inaccessible to you by bike. Keep adding new ones. With the R.X1000 you can experience the beauty of nature and the pursuit of altitude up close. The new All Mountain has all the necessary requirements for this. It supports you in making routes, collecting altitude and pushing your limits. It challenges you. Accept the challenge and add loop after loop to your tour. Trust in a strong battery, the innovative symbiosis of motor and gearbox and optimal geometry for climbing. Our new bike is bursting with power and confidence. You'll ask yourself something like: "Up there?" The answer is simple: “Of course up there!” – with the new R.X1000.

What does it matter?

It is the symbiosis of Pinion's innovative motor gearbox unit (MGU), with a modern all-mountain geometry and optimized weight distribution, that makes the R.X1000 a height-loving all-mountain. This is what ROTWILD has in its name. It accompanies you, meter by meter, above the tree line - to where it gets "crazy", where the rock gains the upper hand over the vegetation, where you need reliable strength and safety. The summit cross is always in view. The MGU combines the engine and transmission and is positioned low on the bottom bracket of the bike. In this way we lower its center of gravity. Official name? E.1.12. It supports you constantly with energy from a battery that has an enormous capacity of 960 watt hours and provides you with extensive performance. With 85 Newton meters of torque and 12 gears, you can bring this power to the trail. Very precise, yet calm and buttery smooth at the same time: because the R.X1000 switches electronically.

By combining drive and motor, the R.X1000 does not require a rear derailleur or cassette. This drastically saves weight in the rear triangle. There the mass is unsprung and every gram less in movement counts for more agility in the chassis. The result is a sensitive suspension that can react directly to obstacles and impacts. By using Mullet tires we can work with a shorter chainstay. In size L it is 445 mm long. We interlocked both chainstays with each other on the front frame triangle with high rigidity. We call this the Open Bridge Triangle. We therefore do not need a connecting bridge between the struts. This creates more free space for the rear wheel. It moves a good bit forward and the entire rear end becomes shorter. This ensures high maneuverability and allows you to make quick turns on downhill. On the other hand, if you're going uphill, you need grip. The R.X1000's chassis creates a lot of traction when you pedal. It takes away your power and sticks to the ground. This is how you stay stable and reach high.

Full carbon frame

The frame of the R.X1000 is made of full carbon in high modulus fiber. The material is very stable, but very malleable. All this with a lighter weight. It is handmade and is made up of over 1,000 individual cuts. All wiring runs through the down tube into the motor housing. For a tidy look and driving safety.

IPU (Integrated Power Unit - engine and transmission

E1.12 – this is the name of the innovative Motor Gearbox Unit (MGU) from Pinion. It combines gearbox and engine in one unit. The design offers 12 gears in spur gearing with 3 gear sets connected in series. It enables electronic switching, controlled by sensitive sensors: when starting off on a hill, while standing, with almost no interruption in the power flow. Pinion calls it SMART.SHIFT. You can use Start Select to engage the preselected gear while stationary. With Pre Select you specify your cadence. The MGU requires little maintenance and is protected by a magnesium housing. The motor has a torque of up to 90 Nm, has a peak output of 600 W and has four speed levels.

IPU (Integrated Power Unit) - the battery

The battery comes from the product world of the Swiss manufacturer FIT. It has an effective capacity of 960 Wh. With a battery weight of 4.7 kg, that is 204 Wh effective energy per kilogram. It is integrated into the down tube with a slight downward bulge. This is due to the arrangement of the energy cells. In this way we give the necessary space for the high performance of the battery. You can remove it and charge it from an external power source. You lock it securely in the down tube using an ABUS lock. The battery is integrated into the uniform and expandable system with various displays and the connection to the FIT app.

Mullet concept

The R.X1000 relies on the Mullet concept: a 29" wheel rolls at the front. At the back it is smaller at 27.5”. The Mullet concept shows its strengths on the descent. The large wheel at the front ensures better rollover behavior, while at the rear the smaller diameter offers a lot of grip and at the same time more agility. We also reduce the installation space at the rear and can work with a shorter chainstay. This is 445 mm long in size L. The All Mountain is therefore a skilful symbiosis of stability and safety on the one hand and agility and grip on the other. So that you can take every trail skillfully.

Innovative kinematics for altitude meters

The kinematics of the R.X1000 are designed to support you uncompromisingly even on the steepest terrain. Without a cassette and rear derailleur, the rear triangle is lighter. Less unsprung mass makes the chassis significantly more agile and sensitive to the nature of the trails. With the MGU, a large part of the mass is located centrally and low on the bottom bracket. By arranging the pivot points in the rear triangle, we ensure the ideal center of gravity and create the necessary traction that continuously holds the rear wheel to the ground. If you pedal unsteadily on steep passages, the motor compensates for this. The pull on the chain remains even and pulls the rear triangle almost into the ground.

All mountain specifications

At the front you work with a FOX 36 Factory Fit-4 suspension fork with 150 mm travel. A FOX Float X Factory shock completes the chassis.
