The DEORE XT Ice-Tech brake discs (160, 180 and 203 mm) have a three-layer sandwich structure in which an aluminum core is arranged between two stainless steel layers. The better heat dissipation of the aluminum helps reduce the surface temperature of the brake disc by around 100 degrees. Optionally available Ice-Tech brake pads with aluminum cooling fins can also reduce the temperature by another 50 degrees. The result is high delay performance with virtually no fading tendency.
6-hole brake discs are not compatible with Centerlock mounts!
Please note that an adapter is required to use a 180 or 203mm disc. Please also note the maximum permissible disc diameter of your suspension fork and frame!
